Mark Rashap

Mark Rashap is a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) and Regional Sales Manager for Broadbent Selections, an importer of fine wine from around the world. Mark oversees sales and strategic brand development in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Previously, he served as Director of Wine Education for the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas in Austin and consulted privately for various distributors, brokers, and restaurant chains.

With more than 20 years in of experience in the wine industry, Mark has worked in practically every sector from winemaking and brokering wine to retail sales, curriculum development, and video and podcast creation.  It was a bottle of Finca L’Ermita shared among a table of winemakers in Falset, Spain that first inspired him to pursue wine. He took passion to a professional level by studying Wine Management while living in Argentina and later as assistant winemaker at :Nota Bene Cellars in Washington State. Chasing his future wife brought him to Austin in 2009.

Mark is a true believer that wine empowers us to appreciate different cultures, celebrate friendship, relive a piece of history, and connect ourselves with the earth. This sentiment led him to start the radio show, Another Bottle Down on Austin’s KOOP 91.7 FM which aired from 2015- 2018.
